2006 June 3rd Luncheon

As you can see many of our classmates attended the luncheon.  We had much to talk about since our last luncheon in 2005, especially the passing of three more of our classmates: Johny Creel, Shirley Seale, and Larry Melcer.

Linda Lindow, and her 85 year old father Mr. Lindow

ABOVE:  Linda Lindow brought her dad to the luncheon.  He is 85 and is still doing great.  Many of us remembered Mr. Lindow and the family he and his wife raised in Channelview.  Linda graduated in 1969 and her two brothers Roy in 1965 and Mark 1975.  We all really enjoyed seeing and visiting with Mr. Lindow.  He told us, when he moved to Channelview in 1929 there were only 6 other people living there.  Wow, how times have changed.

Barbara Beavers and her sister Nancy Beavers

Joe Stepp, Randy Melton, Kenny McAfee

ABOVE: These three guys did allot together in high school.  During their high school years they played football together and during the summers they went to the beach to surf and even worked summer jobs in Channelview together. When they graduated Joe went into the military, Randy went into law enforcement, and Kenny became a stockbroker.  Now as you can see they are still good friends after all these years.

James Mason, Joe Stepp, Denise Roesler, Pat Smith, Nicky Dunlop '67, Debbie James, Charlene Clayton
ABOVE: Joe Stepp was asked to show us pictures of the country side of Afghanistan.  Joe works there and comes back into the states when he can.  He set up his laptop and shows us beautiful pictures, it did reveal a very rugged landscape.
